Aluminium Bi-Fold Door

Bi-fold doors are popular with homeowners looking to add modern architectural design, natural light & value to their properties. In this case study, FORT supplied & delivered an aluminium bi-fold from Origin; the OB-72 Bi-Folding door, made from an ultra-strong aluminium profile. This Bi-Fold was installed onto a side extension, allowing quick access from the kitchen area to the garden, removing the barrier from the inside and out. As the colour of the building & extension is both white, Anthracite Grey is a fantastic choice, ensuring a modern design spec. On top of being manufactured with premium quality & fantastic security properties, these Bi-Folding doors come in a variety of specifications to suit any project.

1+3 Configuration
A popular favourite is the 3+1 door configuration, with an everyday access door, multi-point lock and no mullion. Offering a French Door effect on one side, with the fantastic benefits of bi-folds on the remaining doors. With this project, the access door is situated to the right for easy access from the garden directly to the kitchen.
Breaking The Barrier
The ease of bringing the outside in is a perfect example with this project, whether open or closed. When closed, these bi-folds let plenty of light in, while keeping the weather and cold out, and when opened you can take advantage of the glorious indoor/outdoor living that summer days allow. Weighing 67% lighter than steel, a brief unlock and pull allows a large open feel from the extension.
