The perfect colour combination, Trex Tiki Torch and Island Mist complement each other with their realistic wood-like design. When installing Trex we always recommend a picture-frame design, this enables fantastic colour combinations and a grooveless finish.
If you decide to go for the Trex Transcend range, just like our customers did with this project, you can use the Starborn Pro Plug system. A plug-like combination with the Trex screws can match the colour of the board, meaning no one screw-hole can be seen. As well as the Starborn Pro Plugs, all grooved boards are fitted with the Hidden Fixing System, these clips fit between the boards and ensure the correct gapping of 5mm is met when installing.

Modern, long-lasting & easy to maintain
When investing in a Trex deck you can rest assured that your outdoor area will provide a modern feel with the added benefits of a long-lasting quality composite board. When compared to timber decking boards, Trex boasts a much longer lifespan due to its material, 95% recycled plastics are used when fabricating the boards and with its non-hollow structure any Trex deck will beat its natural competitor of timber on lifespan, rot, decay and staining. Trex is easy to clean either by power washing down or using cleaning products such as Cilit Bang Limescale Remover.
Substructure
Building your perfect deck also means ensuring the sub-frame is built ready to handle all types of weather and of course built to last. With any enquiry, FORT will always recommend using the Trex Protect Adhesive Joist Tape, this tape is butyl-based and protects the top of your timber joists from developing rot and decay when installing the boards. This butyl-based tape will ensure any fixings installed to the joists remain secure and hold for longer, compared to the likes of acrylic or asphalt-based tapes.
